Kate Miller, Owner and Lead Consultant
Kate Miller not only has a taste for technology, but also a love of design and organization. Having worked as a consultant and specialist for several software companies specializing in business intelligence, as a graphic designer, and as a corporate event planner in the non-profit sector beginning in 2003, her background has evolved into a blend of diverse skillsets. This unique combination allows Kate to produce not only beautiful events, but also expertly organized events that create an amazing experience for both her clients and their guests.
Kate also currently resides as a National Volunteer Coordinator for Wish Upon a Wedding, a wonderful organization that provides weddings and vow renewals to couples facing terminal illness or other serious life-altering circumstances, regardless of sexual orientation.
First and foremost, Kate adores her husband Kenneth, her silver Labrador Sterling and her teacup panther Sebastian. Beyond her family and friends, Kate shares a love of luxe handbags, mani/pedis, chocolate, yoga and Starbucks lattes.

Airen Patterson, Event Consultant
Event Consultant Airen Patterson has been with Kate Miller Events since it was established in 2008. While Airen began as an assistant to Kate at many special events, she also provides Month of Coordination for selected clients. Always prepared for the impossible, Airen stays incredibly cool under pressure. With a passion for crafting, quilting and all things artistic, Airen lends a unique eye to our décor team and is the brains behind many of our rental and special event prop construction projects.
Airen spends time with her family of two dogs and three cats while sewing, knitting and belly dancing when she can fit it in between events. She is a skilled artist with an eye for detail and has been known to create art in mediums big and small – be it amazing charcoal still life pieces or her ever changing bathroom walls, she is truly talented.

Samantha Rosenberg, Event Consultant
Event Consultant Samantha Rosenberg moved here from Texas a little under three years ago. She is a certified wedding consultant through Lovegevity’s Wedding Planning Institute and has a background in event planning from her previous experience as an Assistant Wedding Coordinator in Texas. Her passion for people, weddings, and true “southern hospitality” makes every day an adventure as she works to make her clients’ ideas come to life. Incorporating details suited to the couple is her favorite part of the planning process, as they add an element of personalization to each event.
Samantha enjoys exploring California with her husband, working in the garden, sewing, and spending time with her amazing friends and family. She is extremely involved with her church and enjoys serving there in her spare time. She absolutely loves coffee, anything sweet, and taking naps with her Yorkie, Barkley.

JoAnna Jarboe, Special Event Intern
Special Event Intern JoAnna Jarboe is the newest member of the KME team. She is assisting around the office, on the blog, and at many of our celebrations. Her event experience is rooted in organizing volunteer driven affairs, she has a special talent for bringing events together on a budget. JoAnna has a passion for people, their communities, and helping the memories be good ones.
JoAnna loves spending time with her beloved, family, friends, and the 4-legged kids. She always enjoys trying out a new recipe, entertaining, organizing, or working on the house. Whenever possible, she heads towards water to hang on the beach, swim, sun, raft, or canoe.
